African-Caribbean Canadian Society Heritage Celebration
As part of Black History Month, there will be an African-Caribbean Heritage Celebration at Northern United Place (Yellowknife) on Saturday, February 27 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. There will be live music (with performances by Stephen Kakfwi among others), food from African and Caribbean nations, African and Caribbean music and a chance to win several prizes. During the celebration there will be a silent auction with the proceeds going to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
